FOR THE BEST RESULTS DO THE FOLLOWING
1. TOASTER MUST BE PREHEATED BEFORE USING - Connect toaster to any 110-120 volt outlet AC current only. Set adjustment knob at 2 and turn starting handle. When timer clicks (in about 2 minutes the toaster is preheated and ready for the slices of bread. Note: - no current enters the toaster until the starting handle is turned. A new toaster will smoke the first few minutes of operation.
2. TO TOAST - Insert 2 slices bread and turn starting handle as instructed above. When the toast is done it pops up automatically. The next < slices may be toasted lighter or darker by turning the adjustment knob as instructed above.
This toaster is designed for 2 slices. When only one slice is made bread will toast unevenly unless removed and turned around when half done. This is the result of extra heat caused by vacant section.
