Some of our most thoughtful youth have come to a genuine conviction that the war
in Vietnam is a mistaken policy that is damaging the interests of the United States
Others
regard it as
an immoral or improper interterence in the attars or the
Vietnamese people. For these young men the draft is a source of torment that
forces them to choose between participation in a
war they sincerely oppose or
term in jail.
