The No. 769 Uni Flail-Mate is designed to perform as a Cut/Ditioner, windrow pickup and direct cut head with changeover in less than 5 minutes. It does all three operations in a wide variety of crops such as hay, grass, straw, green oats, as well as corn stover and other crop residue. It has a cutting width of 12 ft.
Always operate the machine at full throttle.
The ground speed should not exceed 6 mph for maximum efficiency.
When starting the machine, engage the implement clutch at low engine rpm's and allow the rotor to revolve. Then gradually increase engine speed until full rotor speed is obtained.
When stopping, decrease engine speed to low rpm, then disengage the implement clutch. The rotor and drive belt will continue to turn for a short period.
