INTRODUCTION - OPERATION
A tractor of not less than 25 h.p. but not more than 65 h.p. with 1-3/8" P.T.O. should be used with the snow plow. The tractor is to be operated at540 R.P.M. P.T.O. speed. Live P.T.O. is absolutely essential. The tractor must be equipped with adjustable top link, pin and 3 -
Quick lock pins for mounting.
Note: It is not advisable to mount the No. 516A Plow on Row crop or high arch front axle tractors which usually have higher rear wheels and a higher P.T.O. center, resulting in too great an angle to the P.T.O. shaft. The operating angle of the P.T.O shaft should not exceed 20°.
Adiust the tractor hitch so that blower is level, resting on the shoes, with the cutting blade ap proximately 1/2" clear of the ground.
