Operating and Adjusting
All Drive Chains
Adiust all drive chains to the point where they will not whip or jump teeth on the sprockets.
Parking Stand Safety Position
Fig. 1 - When making any adjustments or repairs that might require getting below the corn head, always put the parking stands in the safety position as shown prior to work. ing on the unit.

Floating Shoes
Fig. 2 - When picking in normal conditions, the cast toe at the outer end of the shoe should just make contact with the ground. The shoe should be adjusted so it floats or follows the contour of the ground.
In down conditions, adjust the shoes all the way up with the bottom of the shoes close to the ground.
To adjust the height of the floating shoes, disconnect the chain from the fastener at "A", raise or lower the shoe and fasten chain link desired to fastener.
