presented him at the Minneapolis
Recreation, as he started right off
Sunday afternoon with an impres-
sive 50 to 27 victory over the Min-
nesota
state
champion,
George
Bates.
It looked as though Bates might
have a chance, as both started slow-
ly, the score being tied at the 15
mark. Hall at this point connected
with an eight cluster and followed
very shortly with others of five and
four to run the balance of his match
in 57 innings.
