As I write to you today, I am still reminiscing about our 50 reunion on Alumni Day, 1997. The warmth and good feelings generated that day remain vivid for me, and, I hope, for you too. It was wonderful to reconnect with so many friends, and I was especially proud that through our Class Gift, we were able to reciprocate, in a significant way, the helpful concern shown to us when we were Westown students.
The purpose of my letter today is to provide informational materials about the Bicentennial Fund, the school's current capital fund-raising effort. As you probably remember, our Class Gift was credited toward the Bicentennial Fund, with the purpose of the gift being to provide scholarships for worthy students. The Bicentennial Fund is also charged with raising money for "bricks and mortar" projects throughout the Westtown campus.
