Johns Hopkins has eagerly anticipated the beginning of the 1991 football season ever since the final play of last season. The Blue Jays are coming off their first winning season (5-4-1) in five years and their highest finish ever in the Centennial Football Conference (third place, 4-2-1). Hopkins returns 39 letter-men, including ten starters on offenseuer; seven starters on defense, who are deter. mined to improve upon last year's ac-complishments.
The Blue Jays closed out the '90 campaign with strong showings in their final three games by tying eventual CFC champion Dickinson, defeating Franklin & Marshall, and defeating Western Mary-land. Hopkins looks to continue its late season efforts and concentrate on playing with greater consistency to start the 1991 campaign. The Centennial Conference race should be as competitive as ever...
