Your fearless nominating committee are the ones to blame.
They even had a full six
months in order to make up their mind, and guess what they did? They recommended that the present officers be re-elected for 1971 and 1972. Even yours truly escaped the axe as newly elected President Jack C. Roberts appointed the same for another two years.
Well, you can't get all perfect apples in a barrel!
ART GERBER RECEIVES
"GRAND CHAMPION" AWARD
Art Gerber, Tell City, Indiana, overwhelmed the judges with some twenty four feet of fine artifact displays as well as a slide presentation of some of his past archaeological feats. Glen Fincham, Detroit, Michigan, took first place and Ed Dixon of Portage, Indiana, received the second place award.
