THE AGE OF STEAM
The National Railroad Museum is a shrine to preserve the story, of American Railroading.
Here smoke
and steam still belch from famous old steam locomotives.
Historic locomotives and cars of the steam era are exhibited in a beautiful park on the banks of Fox River.
The Wisconsin State Historical Society has compiled an educational exhibit from the famous collection of the late Carl R. Gray, who conceived the idea of such a museum.
A standard guage steam train loads passengers at in old-time depot and takes them on a ride into yesterday.
There is also an operating narrow gauge steam train.
The Museum is open daily from 10:00 a.m. until
00 p.m. May 1 through October 31.
