PREFACE
Kern County Panorama is a pioneer experiment, conducted in much the same fashion as the pioneering that resulted in the development of our great country. Neither definitive, nor complete, but seeking to mark the way toward future publications of its kind, Panorama will, it is hoped, encourage the contribution of more photographs and similar graphic material.
The compilers of Panorama received encouragement and assistance from many persons, and space permits only the specific acknowledgement of help from those who went beyond the call of interest and deserve special mention.
