South Mountain Park, which rises majestically above the
desert floor, is located just eight miles directly to the south
of Phoenix, Arizona.
This park is world-famous for its
many unique features. Although it is primarily a place
where people go to enjoy Arizona living, the large wilder-
ness area also serves as a wildlife refuge.
Because of the
hundreds of specimens of plant and animal life, commodi-
ous picnic areas, Indian relics and remarkable views of the
surrounding countryside, we know your visit will be a most
