GARLOCK was "home town" to several hundred fine people just prior to and following the turn of the century. It is still a vivid memory to a number of its
"youngsters."
Youngsters, now three score and ten, who
were born there or attended school in Garlock.
It is to them and to that patriarch of Garlock mer-chants, Jim McGinn, now 91 years old, that we are indebted for their human interest flashbacks to the promising days of Garlock's beginnings.
It is to them that this brief review of Garlock history is dedicated.
We are indebted to Garlock's one-time youngsters, Bessie McGinn-Tyler, Margaret McGinn-Roos, Sherman L. Wright, Robert C. Kelley and Thurman A. Short for their memories of happy childhood days in this historical village.
