This Basketball Case Book is based on the 1952-53 Official Basket. ball Rules which are made jointly by the N.C.A.A; National Federa-tion; Y.M.CA.; A.A.U. and Canada. The rulings are sanctioned by the Secretary and the Editor of the National Basketball Committee. They are official and in harmony with the Official Basketball Code. The Case Book is universally used in Military Camps; in sports administration courses; by Coaches and instructors as a textbook for directed study by basketball squads; and by Officials who are interested in basketball game administration.
Basketball leaders in all sections of the country have contributed reports, summaries and accounts of situations in games under their jurisdiction. Many of the play rulings and comments are from the files of the National Federation office and I from files of college conferences.
