GUY BONHAM was born
in Forty Fort, Pennsyl-
vania, November 24, 1904.
His musical career began
when, at the age of five, he
sang a solo at church. When
Guy was seven, the Bonham
family moved to Hartford,
Connecticut, where he played
the trumpet in the high
school orchestra, sang in the
glee club, and spent his odd
hours working for a florist.
After a year at the Univer-
sity of Pennsylvania, where
he took courses in account.

though he plays it occasion-
ally now during a program)
