David went to visit his brothers in the army.
Here
he met the giant and killed him.
Jonathan, Saul's
son, was David's friend.
He warned David that Saul
lived.
One night David went into Saul's tent and took
away his spear and bottle of water. He did not harm
Saul.
After Saul and Jonathan were dead, David was
chosen king.
David and the priests went to the house
of a good man who cared for the Ark of
God and
brought it to Jerusalem.
As they carried the Ark to
Jerusalem, they showed their joy by
singing
and
bowing the trumpets.
David heard that a son of
Jonathan
was alive.
He sent for him and was very
kind to him.
