The volume of business since our last is small, transactions having been restricted by the observance of yesterday as a holiday, business being quite gene

The markets were generally firm,
though quiet at the close, the advance in Gold in many cases enhanciog the views of holders.
Money is plenty at 6 @ 7 4 cent.
